Andrew R. Italia
Principal
Andrew Italia is a Principal with the Rismiller Law Group, focusing his practice in all aspects of Family Law, including divorce, child custody disputes, and domestic violence. He also specializes in Mediation/ADR. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Italia clerked for the Honorable Michael D. Mason, presiding judge for the Montgomery County Circuit Court, where he gained experience with a wide variety of matters, ranging from counsel disqualification issues, familial custody disputes and complex civil litigation. He also previously worked with the University of Maryland School of Law Appellate and Post Conviction Clinic, the Maryland State Attorney’s Office for Howard County, the Maryland Office of the Public Defender for Montgomery County, and the Maryland State Attorney’s Office for Montgomery County.

Mr. Italia is admitted to practice law in both Maryland and the District of Columbia. He has been an associate of the American Inns of Court for Montgomery County, a member of the Maryland Bar Association, and was selected as part of the inaugural class of the Leadership Academy of the Montgomery County Bar Association. He is a certified mediator with a specialty in resolving family law disputes and is a Child’s Best Interest Attorney. He has consistently received Rising Star recognition as a Super Lawyer in the state of Maryland.
